Pectoral (chest), Deltoid (shoulder) and Triceps (back of upper arm) muscles:
Though biceps muscles get the most buzz, shooting and passing in basketball benefit most from strong triceps, shoulder and to a lesser extent chest muscles. Extending your arms, as you do when shooting and passing, involves contractions of all three of these muscle groups.
Since you’re focusing on a particular muscle group you should always allow a day between exercise sessions for these muscles to rest and repair.
